I will not go into the technical details as you can read the package yourself or the sight information. Moreover, the first time I hear the surround sound I took them off the see what I thought was coming from outside. Overall, they worked but I did not know what I was missing until I slipped on a pair of these comfortable animals. I have to remember not to shower with them on. I live with these on and sleep with them on. I used to have small headphones and several that required batteries. Most of the time I am in the same room with my wife; she can be reading a classic novel and I can be watching Zombie Campout.
It is such a relief to watch a movie now and be able to hear EVERY sentence instead of one every now and then. GREAT product.
I tried switching channels a million times, moving the base, etc. It is extremely annoying. I really hope the 2.4GHz of the 170s does not have this problem. I just sent these back and ordered the 170s. There is way too much hissing. Occasionally it would work and I would have great sound for a minute, but then came the hissing.
It works great. The only down fall is when he laughs outloud at a joke on the TV.but what can you do about that. I bought this for my husband so he can watch TV in bed late at night and not disturb me while I sleep. I read in silence, can't hear a thing from the headset, and then I can go right to sleep when I am ready.
I would highly recomend these to anyone who wants total peace will watching tv. Have had others in the past, but not of the quality of the Sennheiser RS 140 Balanced Headphones. If you are hearing impaired, these headphones are for you. I had such a difficult time watching tv before purchasing these headphones. Very little noise from outside to interupt your concentration from what you're listening too.
