Experiment.I would prefer less wt, bulk, and an adjustment for head width. Having said that, I agree with most objective comments by others.Sennheiser RS 140 Wireless Balanced Headphones By fiddling with placement of the ear covering pads this can be mostly controlled. The closed back isolation also helps but could be better.Annoyingly, I sometimes hear something like an echo. On a hearing graph I have a steep loss slope between 3000cps and 3500cps. I use the RS140 exclusively for watching tv. This is where many consonants are and clarity is needed. This unit's ability to individually adjust sound level for each ear, the compression feature do help. Pushing the tone button (sometimes) adds clarity.
However, after I receive it, I have to say it is outstanding. I would say, compare to HD 650 it has some distance, but for a wireless headphone, I believe this is the best. Honestly, I read some of the review about this product, and I have another less expensive wireless headphone, so I didn't expect outstanding performance for this one. It does not have the expected static noise from my other wireless headphone and some of the reviews of this product from Amazon, and the sound quality is excellent.
I would purchase them again. They help a lot. I purchased these headphones to watch TV. My hearing is very poor so I have trouble understanding what is being said on the TV. I can understand the voices much better.
I got my headphones 10 days ago, but they didn't pass the test, specifically going outdoors and working in the yard while listening to the ballgame.I had line of sight between the transmitter and the headphones, but I couldn't do more than 60 ft before the signal got choppy, and if I put my head under the car hood, or went around a house corner, I had more blank time than ballgame time. The vendor says I have to pay $18 shipping and $27 restocking fee. I'm protesting.Dennis, in Marysville WA
I had one set, helped my neighbor buy one and my Dad buy one too. I mostly use for TV, either as my wife is falling asleep so I can still listen to the TV, or to go to the garage and outside for chores while keeping an ear on my shows.
These are HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. But I find if I rotate my head I can get the signal back usually.
Depending on the antenna location and how many stucco walls are in the way the distance can be limited. The re-chargable batteries work a long time between charges.
I love these. We all love having the flexibility with both Balance and Volume controls.
The audio quality is great, as expected from Sennheiser (I am happy with 2 of my Sennheiser corded headphones).
